Former Sheriff''s Deputy Charged

A June 16th court date has been set for a former Putnam County sheriff's deputy, charged for a second time with domestic assault and now also charged with filing a false police report. Sheriff's deputy Chuck Johnson says it was a videotape made by Kim Keith's estranged husband that led to the latest charges. Keith had called the sheriff's office claiming that she had been injured in an altercation with her ex, and that she suffered several cuts on her arms, legs and neck. But Johnson says the husband apparently recorded the encounter and that video allegedly shows Kim Keith cutting herself and also appearing to be the primary aggressor in the confrontation. She was booked into the Putnam County jail this week, but made a $6,000 bond and was ordered to stay away from her spouse. Keith was the domestic violence officer for the department until last year when she was arrested on a previous charge of domestic assault that was ultimately dismissed.
