Home Invasion Reported in Monterey

A home invasion case is under investigation in Monterey. The Hilltop Express newspaper is reporting that a South Poplar Street resident told Monterey Police Officer Jackie McQuistion that he was robbed at knife-point in a home invasion. According to the police report, the resident said a man wearing multi-colored pants and a beige-colored hoodie kicked his front door open and said "give me your damn money." The victim said that he gave the armed robber $125 in cash. Before leaving the residence, the robber reportedly cut the phone cord and took the phone with him. The victim also had a front tire cut on his vehicle. Sgt. McQuiston told the Hilltop Express that the victim told him he was robbed by the same suspect a couple of weeks before, but did not report it.
