Murder Suspects Arrested In Cookeville
Authorities in Putnam County on Tuesday arrested two men in connection with the fatal shooting of a 69-year-old Nashville businessman on July 27. WSMV reports that 20-year-old William Mozell Coley was arrested Tuesday morning in Cookeville, and is suspected in the death of Sadegh Maleki, the owner of Lucky Auto Imports on Dickerson Pike in Nashville. Later in the day, officers in Putnam County reportedly arrested his alleged accomplice, 20-year-old Markreo Quintez Springer, in the case. Authorities said they believe Maleki likely pulled his own gun and shot at the men because Coley suffered a gunshot wound the night of the businessman's death. There was no immediate word on how they came to be in Cookeville. Police said Coley and Springer had lived in a boarding house across the street from Maleki’s business.
