Prescription Drugs Stolen: Prayer Partner Victimized
Some valuable jewelry was left behind when a Putnam County woman's home was burglarized this week. The woman, who suffers from cancer, says that a portion of several of her prescription pain medicines, were stolen from a fireproof safe in her home. They included hydrocodone, percocet and valium. Authorities say there was no sign of forced entry into the home. They are pursuing a couple of leads as to who may have taken the pills. Meanwhile, the sheriff's department says a woman who had invited an acquaintance into her home to pray ended up being the victim of a theft. The prayer partner allegedly stole a Play Station, a digital camera, some DVDs and possibly some checks. The woman is hoping that the suspect will return all of the merchandise, but may take out a criminal summons if the issue cannot be resolved.
