Putnam Commissioners Face Light Agenda

With passage of a budget being the main issue facing the Putnam County commission this month, the group's standing committees have relatively light agendas as they meet tonight. The fiscal review committee will review quarterly reports, the nominating committee will consider appointing Dee Talkington and Thomas Derricks as judicial commissioners, and the planning committee will discuss road work to be funded through the annual "State Aid" work program. They'll also consider adopting the 2006 edition of the International Building Code. That was their recommendation last month, but the issue was accidentally left off of the full commission agenda in July. The budget committee recommendation, which will be for a spending plan that requires no increase in the property tax rate, will come before the full commission next week.
