Putnam TennCare Fraud Arrests Make 1,000 Total

The arrests of two people in Putnam County brings to 1,000 the total number of people charged with TennCare fraud since the Office of Inspector General was formed and given authority to pursue fraud cases. The Putnam County cases involve 36-year-old Angela Tindle of Cookeville and 36-year-old Jamie L. Bowman of Baxter. Tindle was charged with four counts of TennCare fraud for using TennCare to pay for forged prescriptions on four separate occasions for syringes, the painkiller Hydrocodone, and two preparations of insulin. Bowman is accused of using TennCare to pay for fraudulent prescriptions for the painkiller hydrocodone on four separate occasions.
