Three Arrested in Meth Lab Incidents
Cookeville police have now arrested a man wanted in connection with the discovery of a meth lab in a local motel room last week. Officer Chris Melton says he received information over the weekend that the suspect, 35-year-old William Robert Goodwin of Sweetwater, Tennessee, could be located at a residence on Lee Avenue. Police say they found Goodwin at the residence, along with two other men -- and another meth lab. The other two suspects were identified as 34-year-old Caleb Andrew Lincolin of Lee Avenue and 32-year-old Jeffrey Lee Ewald of Scenic Drive in Cokoeville. In addition to the meth charges, Goodwin was arrested for evading arrest, reckless endangerment, and being a felony fugitive. Several of the motel rooms near where the so-called "one-pot meth lab" was found have been quarantined until they can be decontaminated. Police say the three suspects also underwent decontamination before being taken to jail.
