TTU To House Students In Hotels This Fall
Not all of the Tennessee Tech students who signed up for a dorm room this fall will actually be getting a room right away. Spokeswoman Monica Greppin says the university this year has more students who want rooms on campus than they have rooms available. She says there are about 300 more housing applicants than there are beds. So the school is taking bids from area hotels to temporarily house the overflow. She says the students will not have to pay anything more than they would already be paying for a dorm room, and says if students want to find alternate housing and opt out of living in hotels, they are free to do so. Move-in day for Tech students is August 27.
