Cookeville Planning Commission To Meet

The Cookeville planning commission meets this evening to discuss possible changes to the city's regulations concerning condominiums and townhouses. Real estate agents say the two are not the same thing, but both often employ what officials call zero-lot line construction. The planners tonight will take a look at the minimum lot and yard requirements for townhouses -- in an attempt to resolve a conflict in the zoning code in which they are sometimes treated differently. In some zones, for example, condominiums are allowed, but townhouses are not. The meeting tonight begins at 5:30 at Cookeville city hall.
