Drug Arrest At Monterey High School

A September 28th court date has been set for a young Monterey man, who was allegedly found to be in possession of marijuana while at Monterey High School this week. 18-year-old Alfred Wayne Galloway of Jim Garrett Road was arrested on Tuesday afternoon by the school resource officer, sheriff's deputy Jennifer White. According to White's report, principal Sonya Farley and assistant principal Chris Pierce had found a plastic bag of the drug during a search of Galloway. Galloway was charged with possession of a controlled substance and with violating the Drug-Free School Zone law. His bond was set at $2,000.
