Drug Charges Pending After Traffic Stop
The Hilltop Express newspaper is reporting that three local residents are facing charges after being arrested by the Tennessee Highway Patrol. Troopers stopped a vehicle just across the Overton County line on Highway 84 and found what they say were components of a methamphetamine lab. Angela Gail Clark Harris, of Hanging Limb Hwy., Monterey; Wendell Jay Conner, of Old Stover Rd., Livingston; and Stephen Paul Coleman, of Sevier St., Livingston are charged in the case. The THP says they had stopped a car for speeding and, ultimately, found what they described as components used to make meth -- including phosphorous, iodine, matchbook strike plates and lithium batteries. All three are scheduled to appear in Overton County General Session Court on Oct. 20.
