Ribbon Cutting At Church's Chicken

For those that haven't noticed, the old Mrs. Winner's chicken restaurant on Willow Avenue has now been converted to a Church's Chicken, and Church’s Chicken will host a ribbon cutting and grand opening event Wednesday morning to celebrate its new location in Cookeville. In addition to officials with the Church's chain, city council members and Chamber of Commerce leadership will be on hand to help celebrate. As part of a weeklong grand opening celebration, the location will be giving away cupcakes on Sept. 3 and will be offering free sausage biscuits and spicy chicken with purchases on Sept. 4-6. The store opened in late August and has added new staff following the renovations that converted it from a Mrs. Winner’s location. In a press release, Church’s said it is committed to becoming part of the Cookeville community through efforts ranging from charity outreach to keeping the breakfast menu, which is popular in the area.
