Wagon Wheel Arson Case
A nine-year prison term has been handed down to a Putnam County man, who pleaded guilty in an arson case. 26-year-old Derek Adam Holloway of Baxter was taken into custody following his plea to a charge of facilitation of aggravated arson. Prosecutors say Holloway and 26-year-old Tabatha Charmane Whittenburg of Algood had apparently been "kicked out" of the Wagon Wheel restaurant the night before a fire in March of 2008. They were later developed as suspects after a blaze destroyed the Wagon Wheel and a business next door to it. Whittenburg also pleaded guilty in return for an eight-year sentence, but will be back in court in November so that a decision can be made about how she will serve that time.
