Cookeville Museum Closing

This is the last week that a Cookeville museum will be open for regular hours. The museum and its owner, Jerry Jacene, will be moving to Kingsport next year. Jacene says the Highlands Prehistoric Museum will be closing on Thursday to begin preparations for the move. At its current location since June, it had attracted about 3,800 visitors. Jacene says he hopes to reopen the museum in Kingsport by March, and says reserved tours of the Cookeville site will be available during the month of January. A full T-Rex skeleton that's reportedly larger than the one on display at the Smithsonian will be among the exhibits on display.
