Livingston Man Suspected In Burglary Ring

An Overton County man is facing charges today as the alleged ring leader in a series of burglaries that took place all over the area. Police say 29-year-old Russell Dion Copeland of Livingston was jailed on a violation of probation charge and is one of the suspects they believe is connected to more than 100 break-ins in Overton, Jackson, Putnam, and Pickett counties. They say it was a joint investigation by the police agencies in Algood, Gainesboro, and Livingston that helped authorities track stolen goods -- some of which ended up in Chattanooga. Police say they expect to make more arrests as the investigation continues.
