Road Rage Alleged In Buffalo Valley

A January 25th court date has been set for a Putnam County man charged with aggravated assault in what authorities described as a case of road rage. The sheriff's department says it happened on Wednesday when 69-year-old Jack Pullum of St. Mary's Road reportedly stopped his vehicle in front of a dump truck that had backfired as it passed his house. The driver of the truck told authorities that when he got out of his vehicle to explain the situation, Pullum pointed a 30-30 rifle and threatened to shoot him. The dump truck driver then got back in his truck and called the sheriff's department, which later arrested Pullum. His bond was set at $5,000 pending the court appearance.
