Woman Charged With Stealing From Employer
A January 25th court date has been set for a Smith County woman, accused of stealing from her Cookeville employer. Police say 19-year-old Jessica Bernice Vaden of Gordonsville was arrested after an internal investigation at the Belk Department store, where she was working. She is accused of purchasing items from the store, returning them for a refund, but then keeping the items instead of putting them back on the shelves. She also allegedly used gift cards to make fraudulent refunds. She is charged with theft of property.
