Election Officials Remind Voters Of New Precincts

With the May primary coming up tomorrow, Putnam County Election officials are reminding voters that their old precinct may have been closed. Any voter affected by the changes should have gotten a new card in the mail, but officials say they will be posting notices on all of the precincts that are now closed instructing voters who may show up where they need to be in order to cast their ballot at the correct precinct. Voters tomorrow will be deciding the nominees for county executive, county clerk, road supervisor, sheriff and county trustee, among others. Many of those running will face no opposition in the general election in August, so whoever is nominated tomorrow effectively becomes the office holder.
