Youth Teams Offered Special Deal For WNBA Game
Tennessee Tech Athletics has put together a special ticket package for youth teams in the region, but they will need to act quickly to take advantage of the offer. The first 20 youth teams to purchase tickets at a special group rate for the May 9 WNBA exhibition game between the Atlanta Dream and Washington Mystics will receive a commemorative WNBA basketball in a pregame presentation. The tickets are $5 each when purchased as a group. Former Tech head coach Marynell Meadors is the head coach and general manager of the Atlanta Dream, whose roster includes former Tennessee All-American Chamique Holdsclaw. The Dream also recently added former Georgia stars Kelly and Coco Miller to their roster. The game is slated for a 3 p.m. tipoff in Eblen Center, the first professional game in the venue. The team will also be available to sign autographs following the contest. To order tickets or for additional information on the Youth Group Ticket offer, call the Athletics Ticket Office in Eblen Center at 372-3940.
