Cookeville Musician Takes Additional Job

Cookeville's Dan Allcott has been named the Oak Ridge Civic Music Association's music director and the Oak Ridge Symphony Orchestra and Chorus' conductor. Allcott had been music director and principal conductor of the Atlanta Ballet Orchestra since 2000, but resigned from that job earlier this year. He remains director of orchestra studies at Tennessee Tech University, where he is a professor of conducting. He also conducts the Bryan Symphony in Cookeville.
