A Cookeville man has two scheduled court dates coming up -- after being arrested twice in one week on separate charges. Authorities say Christopher Kevin Padgett was was charged with public intoxication and simple possession of marijuana after he allegedly created a disturbance at a local convenience store. Two days later, they allege that Padgett was involved in a burglary at a home on Anson Maxwell Road. The homeowner reportedly caught him inside the residence, and police say that Padgett fled the scene, but was stopped at gunpoint by a family member of the victim, and held until police arrived. Padgett was also charged with public intoxication and possession of drugs in that case -- in addition to a charge of aggravated burglary.
