Officials with the Cookeville Performing Arts Center say a number of events are coming up this weekend and throughout the month of October, including a theatrical performance of a play called One Step, written and directed by Mary Evelyn Notgrass. It's being presented by the Home School Dramatic Society and will be performed tonight at 7 pm at CPAC. Tickets are five dollars for adults and three dollars for children. What's being called a "family" ticket is also available for fifteen dollars. Meanwhile, the Shakespeare in the Park 2010 production of The Merry Wives of Windsor opens tonight at seven at the Dogwood Performance Pavilion in Dogwood Park. Admission to the Shakespeare production is free and there will be performances every night, except next Wednesday, through October 2nd. And city officials say the annual Brown Bag lunch concert series will begin on October 1st. The free concerts are held every Friday in October at the Depot Museum from 11:30am to 1pm.
