Putnam School Board To Consider Air Quality

The Putnam County Board of Education will be meeting Thursday afternoon to receive an update on the work that's been done at Baxter Elementary School. Students at the school were re-located for awhile earlier this semester when flood damage revealed serious electrical issues in the building.  They were moved back in after those issues were addressed, but the board is now being asked to approve a contract with a firm called Gobble Hayes of Nashville.  That company would complete an indoor air quality assessment at the school. Also on Thursday, the board will discuss some renovations at Algood Middle School and requests for heating and air conditioning systems at the Jere Whitson Elementary School gym and the football field house at Upperman High School.
