Another Arrest Made In Pipe Bomb Case

The investigation continues to expand surrounding an incident in which a pipe bomb was found in Sparta last month. Authorities had already arrested an Overton County man in the case, after finding a case and a half of dynamite in a freezer at his home. And now, the Sparta Expositor newspaper is reporting that a man from Walling, Tennessee, has also been charged. 50-year-old Mitchell Dibrell Bain was arrested on Friday. Authorities say he faces a Class B felony prohibited weapons charge for allegedly making and transporting the pipe bomb. The warrant alleges Bain "admitted to assisting in the construction of the bomb in Overton County and did transport it to White County."
