Court Date Set For Robbery Suspect
A March 22nd arraignment has been set for a Wilson County man, charged with a robbery in Cookeville last fall. Authorities say the case occurred at the Knights Inn motel on Thursday night, September 30th, when a man living there reported hearing a knock on his door just after 9:30 in the evening. He told police that when he answered the knock, two men forced their way into the room and one of them pointed a silver handgun at him. They forced him to the floor, tied his hands with duct tape and made off with four hundred dollars in cash and a video gaming system. After an extensive investigation, evidence in the case was presented to the grand jury, which returned indictments against two suspects. The one who has been arrested at this point was identified by police as 38-year-old Rodney Cornelius Stevenson of Lebanon. He's charged with aggravated robbery.
