Three Face Charges Of Impersonating TBI Agents
Authorities say three men are facing charges in an incident in which they barged into someone's home by impersonating agents of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. It happened at a residence on Phillips Drive in Monterey where the victim says the three entered his home claiming to be TBI agents and proceeded to steal a duffel bag with nearly ten thousand dollars worth of merchandise in it. After an investigation by Monterey police and the Putnam County sheriff's office, warrants were taken out charging three Cookeville men with the crime. They were identified as 27-year-old Brent Sterling Harris of Brookwood Drive; 19-year-old Geoffrey Grant Garrett of Spring Valley Drive and 18-year-old David Curtis England of Charlton Square. They are all charged with aggravated burglary, theft of property and criminal impersonation.
