Two Troopers Added To Cookeville District of THP

Two additional troopers will be patrolling the roads around the Cookeville district of the Tennessee Highway Patrol with the graduation this month of the latest class of cadets.  Trooper Cadet Class 311 took their oath of office in a graduation ceremony at Hermitage Hills Baptist Church in Hermitage. Members of Cadet Class 311 have spent the past 18 weeks undergoing extensive law enforcement instruction at the department’s Training Center. The more than 852 hours of classroom training included criminal and constitutional law, patrol procedures, professional ethical conduct and firearms. The new graduates will now advance to a maximum of 12 weeks of field training. From this area, the new troopers are Alfred Seitner, whose primary assignment will be Cannon County, and Jeremy Newcome, who will be patrolling the roads in Putnam County.
