Court Date Set For Burglary Suspects
A May 2nd arraignment in General Sessions Court has been set for two Putnam County men, accused of breaking into an abandoned building to search for scrap metal. Authorities say 20-year-old Jacob Tyler Herron and 21-year-old William Aubrey Hieatt, both of Silver Point, were arrested after they allegedly admitted to being inside the building near the intersection of Old Baxter Road and Water Tower Road. They were questioned by a sheriff's deputy who had noticed them sitting in a pick-up truck parked outside the building. One of the suspects claimed to know the owner, but reportedly did not have permission to be in the building.
